Maharaja Me LLC, our parent company brings expertise, a treasure trove of archival fabric references, and relationships with Indian suppliers going back decades. Our suppliers represent India’s regional specializations and we source from very small family-run cottage industries to mid-size enterprises. We choose to develop natural fiber textiles: cotton, organic cotton, linen, silk and wool in khadi or other handloom, powerloom and autoloom weave options. We also choose to work with textile-centric suppliers and cooperatives who are steeped in tradition while looking towards contemporary business practices such as non-profit structures, democratic cooperatives, autonomous small businesses (along the supply chain), family businesses and larger businesses.
